How to delete your Untype account and data

About Untype

Untype is a voice-typing app — a desktop app for Windows and a keyboard for Android — operated by UNTYPED LTD. You can delete your Untype account, and the personal data tied to it, at any time using either method below.

Delete it yourself (fastest)

  1. Open the Untype app (the Android keyboard's companion app, or the Windows app).
  2. Go to Settings → Manage account. Your account page opens in the browser, already signed in.
  3. Scroll to Delete account, tap it, and confirm.

You can also open api.untype.org/login, enter your email to receive a one-time sign-in link, then follow step 3 on the account page.

Or ask us to do it

Email hello@untype.org from your account's email address and ask us to delete your account. We'll action it and confirm when it's done.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases, straight away:

Your account & email

Your account record, email address, and language/region preferences.

Sign-in credentials

Every sign-in token on every device — you're signed out everywhere.

Usage data

Your recorded dictation-usage totals.

Payment profile

Your customer record with our payment provider, Stripe, including the reference to your saved card.

Your voice recordings and transcripts are never stored in the first place, so there is nothing there to delete.

What we have to keep

We retain past payment and invoice records (held by Stripe) only where UK law requires it — tax rules oblige us to keep financial records for about 6 years. These records are then deleted. They are kept for legal compliance only and are not used for anything else.
